Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to ‘the non-compliances’ which are listed below

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • A number of accessibility issues are caused by the website templates provided by the third party website platform ‘Weebly’ and it’s supported App developers, which we use for this website. These are: 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks, 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context), 4.1.1 Parsing, 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value, 1.4.2 Audio Control.  We have raised this with Weebly and with the app developers to request resolutions. We are aware that these factors will affect screen readers and other software, and access to the control buttons on audio and video players.

Content that’s not within scope of the accessibility regulations

  • None of the audio or videos on our website, which were published before 23 September 2020, are accessible.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

  • We are continuing to lobby the website platform and its developers to update their templates to meet accessibility requirements, and to update apps to enable access to the audio and video content when possible.
